In the middle of a golf swing, the golf shaft bends as forces are exerted on it. This is called the Flex. There are many types of swings – fluid or jerky, quick or slow; all of these generate force.

The types of golf club flex are generally divided into 5 categories: Ladies, Senior, Regular, Stiff and Extra Stiff. The clubface can often misalign due to using a flex that does not fit you. This can make your swing go off-target.

Directly or indirectly, the flex of your Fujikura shafts impact 3 crucial elements in a shot: accuracy, direction and strength.

During a golf swing, the clubface must be perfectly straight at impact to maximize a shot. The angle of the clubhead changes as the shaft flexes throughout the swing. A flex not suited to your swing will surely lessen the chance of having a straight clubface when striking the ball.
